Drew Thomas — Vultures (Single)

by | Jun 2, 2021

‘Vultures’ is the new single from London based singer-songwriter Drew Thomas. Enlisting the talents of producer Nat Webb (The Struts, Kelsey Carter), Thomas has decided to analyse themes of bad friendships and negativity.

A ballsy electric rock guitar tone dominates as Thomas’ pop vocal is blended with production but is not dissimilar to that of Andy Brown of pop-rock band Lawson at times. The chorus is written in such a way that it is perfect for a crowd sing-along as the tribal drum sound echoes.

Interestingly, Thomas has been attending co-writing sessions with the likes of Tom Walker and Tadhg Daly recently and his EP ‘Early Hours’ already has over 100,000 streams on Spotify so it is definitely an exciting time for him.

Overall, Drew Thomas appears to have a strong understanding on the art of songwriting and that is to be commended. Bringing in Webb was a wise decision as he has helped create a slice of pop-rock perfection that Drew Thomas should be really proud of.
